Is there anybody out there?

Postby lovetimesfour » Fri Mar 26, 2010 4:59 pm

HI! How is every one? Me? Well I am okay. I broke my foot on Labor Day 2009 and was lame and in a cast for three months. While unable to to hike and walk I gained 20 pound, UGH! Now my foot is better, and I have gradually been increasing my hiking time, but the 20 pounds is still here, LOL. ~sigh~

Work is great, I just got a merit raise. (I work with special needs children) As I have been at the top of the salary ladder for my position for 9 years, this was very welcome indeed and I am so appreciative to my supervisor for recommending me (she didn't think it would go through as there is a raise freeze, but it did!) A week after I received this welcome information I made a colossal error in my monthly paperwork that is going to take her much time to straighten out for me. Fortunately I realized the error before too much time went by and called her in a panic over it, she has assured me we can work it out. Maybe now I can sleep.

My sister's husband took all our family slides from when we were babies and put them all on a cd. My sister had a dinner party and we watched the cd. There are five of us children, our births spanning 10 years, from 1956-1966 and it was wonderful to see ourselves so young and beautiful. It was a lot of fun, too.

Caterina, my car, and I celebrated our one year anniversary this month! She is a 2008 Dodge Avenger, and I love her. 3.5 L V6 engine and I get fantastic mileage. 33 highway, 26 city and 29 mixed. Can't beat that!

My crocuses are blooming in the yard, and the columbines and daffodils are showing their little beginnings. The cardinals are singing their come hither songs, the owls are who-who-whoing at night, the robins are all over the yard, SPRING IS HERE!

Aside from news posted in another thread, Tolly, Mazy and Jennie are all doing wonderfully and all three love each other very much..

Anyone else??

I'm still here.

I usually check out most days to see if anyone has posted but unfortunately they don't very often, I think most goes on FB which I have to admit i am a member of but not a big fan.

Since losing Dylan it has been kinda strange but we have got ourselve into a new routine and we are taking Gracie on holiday in May which we are looking forward to.

My work is still boring but Dave's is looking up as a strong chance of promotion this year making our finances a heck of a lot better.

For Christmas I got Dave a Tropical Fish Tank which he now has fish in. At first we had 6 Tetras & Patties but unforunately lost 2 Patties in 2 days 1 of which looked a bit weak any way. Also we did half expect to loose a couple to start with.

Well that's about it for now

Anyone else with an update. :?:

I have just been through some big changes, and I think my mind is finally beginning to settle. I had to move at the end of January. My new place is a little mobile home a few miles outside of town. It’s a little smaller than where I lived before, but it’s usually pretty quiet. I’ve wanted to live out in the country since I was a child, and now I finally get to. Fortunately, I am still able to get good broadband internet through the local phone company.

I was laid off from job in early February. It kind of ticked me off because I had been working there as temp for 2 and a half years and had been promised a full-time position for 2 years. Fortunately, my ex-boss helped me get another job, so at least I still my income. I am still working as a temp for the new job, but there is a chance of getting a full-time position there. Of course, I’ve learned not to believe it until it actually happens.

If I do get a full-time position, I should be able to qualify for a mortgage and be able to buy a house.

Around the end of February, I noticed Sadie looking very skinny. This was shortly after changing her food, so I figured she wasn’t able to digest the new food because she ate a lot and pooped a lot but lost weight. I was kind of surprised because it was a good quality food, and Jessie and Sara have done really well with it. I changed their food again, and now Sadie is back to normal weight and is not pooping as much.

Sara got a broken leg about a month ago. I’ve never dealt with a broken leg before, but as far as I can tell, she seems to be recovering pretty well. She had a cast on for 3 weeks, and the vet thought her leg looked good when the cast was removed. The cast has been off for about 2 weeks now. She’s not using her leg all the time like normal, but she is using it some, and she is able to walk, run, and play with the other dogs. Hopefully, she’ll be back to normal in another week or so.
